RE IMPORT OF PRODUCTS TO THE EUROPEAN UNION
- Documents required at the return of the parcel from the third country to the EU (Directive (EU) 97/78/UE, Article 15; Polish Act on veterinary border inspection dated. 27.08.2003r., Article 32 (Journal of Laws of 2003., No. 165, item 1590):
- The original export certificate or the certified copy,
- Act of return - a document issued by the competent authority of the third country on the reasons for the refusal to accept the shipment by a third country,
- Guarantee the competent authority of the third country that the storage conditions are met, the product is not subject to manipulation or in the case of sealed containers carrier's statement that the content has not been discharged, and the transport conditions are maintained,
- The consent of the competent authority issuing the original veterinary certificate for the acceptance of the goods
- The consignment is always returned directly to the establishment of origin in the EU, in which the certificate was issued.
IMPORTS INTO THE EU OF HAY AND STRAW
- All shipments of straw and hay (CN 12130000 and 121490, including pellets for energy purposes) should be reported to the veterinary border inspection posts, as products subject to such control.
- Imports into the EU of hay and straw (including for energy purposes) is possible only from third countries listed in Annex V to Commission Regulation 136/2004/WE. Countries listed out in the Regulation are:
- South Africa;
- Australia;
- Belarus;
- Chile;
- Greenland;
- Iceland;
- Canada;
- New Zealand
- The countries from which is possible import only of granules of straw for energy production (incineration and co-incineration in plants) are:
- Belarus,
- Ukraine.
The pellets must be transported from the border directly to the energy establishment in the drains procedure
